Job summary

Abacus Insights is hiring a Business Solution Manager to bridge client needs with data-driven design. You will own requirements quality, ensuring business intent and success criteria translate into clean, buildable designs for developers working with healthcare data.

You will combine healthcare domain knowledge with strong SQL and data fluency, guiding cross-functional teams and translating complex challenges into precise, actionable requirements across multi-workflow engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in the US healthcare domain and with healthcare data (claims, provider, membership/eligibility, benefits, prior authorization, or PBM).
• Payer experience with US health plans (Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial).
• Strong SQL skills to write and execute queries against datasets.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and design for reuse.
• Ability to elicit and author business requirements in complex, data-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with client SMEs to understand business context and success criteria.
• Translate use cases into clear, testable requirements with traceability.
• Document requirements and translate into a design for developers including data flows and rules.
• Determine grain and structure of datasets to meet business needs and downstream reports.
• Map dependencies across workstreams to avoid regressions.
• Apply systems thinking to design reusable patterns across clients and states.
