Job summary

SCAN, a nonprofit health organization serving over 500,000 people, seeks a Medical Economics Analytics professional to identify and size total cost of care savings opportunities. You will use GenAI-enabled analytics on claims, clinical, and contract data to surface opportunities and support strategy across UM, policy, payment integrity, network, and COB.

You will collaborate with clinical, network, payment integrity, and finance teams to implement analytics, prioritize interventions, and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field is required.
• Graduate or advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of working experience in analytics, preferably healthcare.
• 3+ years applying data science methods to identify and quantify cost opportunities.
• 1+ years writing SQL in relational databases.
• 2+ years coding in Python and/or R.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science methods to identify, size, and prioritize total cost of care savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate findings into cost management strategy.
• Develop AI-enabled analytics and agentic tools to surface savings opportunities.
• Lead multiple projects and mentor other analytics practitioners.
