The role will design mappings (837/835, 270/271, 278, 276/277, 999/TA1), collaborate with teams and partners, implement validations, and pursue automation while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of healthcare claim adjudication processes for medical, dental, and vision.
• Strong knowledge and familiarity with EDI SNIP validations and EDIFECS or similar tooling.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data integration, or EDI within healthcare.
• Strong understanding of healthcare EDI transactions (834, 837, 835).
• Proficient in SQL, Excel, JSON; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data mappings for incoming/outgoing healthcare data files (837/835, 270/271, 278, 276/277, 999/TA1).
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to define data requirements and specifications.
• Onboard, test and certify new connections and transaction sets.
• Develop data validation rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies, errors, and rejections promptly.
• Monitor system status and provide technical support for data exchange issues.
• Document data exchange processes and configurations; support automation initiatives.
• Generate reports on data exchange performance, error rates, and trends.
• Participate in projects with Data Exchange impacts (vendor changes, migrations).
