Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Data Engineer I to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise data solutions in a healthcare setting. You will build data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions, working alongside senior engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has foundational experience with Databricks, SQL, SQL Server, SSIS, PL/SQL, and healthcare data, contributing to data quality and HIPAA compliance initiatives while growing within a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Database Development, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Exposure to SSIS and PL/SQL development.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and SQL technologies.
• Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
• Support the development and maintenance of SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
• Work with Databricks and Apache Spark to process and transform data.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and assist with production support activities.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and process documentation.
• Support data governance, data quality, and HIPAA compliance initiatives.
