Job summary

Elevance Health in Chicago, IL seeks a Business Information Consultant to serve as an expert in data analysis, reporting and guiding other data analysts. You will develop performance reports, provide analytic consultation, and help shape data-driven decisions.

The role requires a BS/BA in a related field and at least 5 years of experience, with preferably healthcare data experience and advanced SQL/Excel skills. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
• Preferred experience with healthcare data and population health programs.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs established analysis for routine diagnoses of quality, use, cost and other variables for opportunity assessments.
• Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
• Executes identification and stratification algorithm to select the right members for the targeted solution.
• Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, or external customers.
