Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a healthcare data analyst to build next-generation analytics and scale proprietary assets across payers, providers, and services. You will bridge deep data analysis with strategic client impact, delivering scalable analytics to improve healthcare outcomes.

The role requires 1+ years in healthcare data analytics, strong SQL, and experience with Tableau/Power BI, with Python or R a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a healthcare-related field or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Data Analytics).
• 1+ years of healthcare data experience, including a strong background in healthcare or clinical analytics.
• High proficiency in SQL with the ability to independently mine and process large-scale, complex healthcare datasets.
• Proficiency in a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and the ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear stories for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of claims billing processes and code sets (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Working knowledge of additional coding languages (e.g., Python, R) is a strong plus.
• Self-starter with a healthy skepticism regarding data validity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment.
