McKinsey & Company is seeking a healthcare data professional to build and scale analytic assets that improve healthcare delivery. You will leverage our healthcare data lake to create insights for payers, providers, and services, connecting technical analysis with strategic client impact.

You will contribute to rapid learning, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration, growing as a leader within a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a healthcare-related field or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Data Analytics)
• 1+ years of healthcare data experience, including a strong background in healthcare or clinical analytics
• High proficiency in SQL, with the ability to independently mine and process large-scale, complex healthcare datasets
• Proficiency in a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and the ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear stories for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Deep understanding of claims billing processes and code sets (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), including knowledge of how these elements are applied in analytics
• Working knowledge of additional coding languages (e.g., Python, R) is a strong plus
• Self-starter with a healthy skepticism regarding data validity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment

Responsibilities

• Build next-generation data and analytic solutions for the healthcare industry.
• Own and scale proprietary analytic assets and leverage the healthcare data lake to solve challenges for payers, providers, and services.
• Bridge the gap between deep technical data analysis and strategic client impact, developing scalable analytic assets.
