Job summary

State of New York - Mental Health, Office of in Albany, NY, seeks a Data Analyst 2 to support medical informatics data analysis, integration, and healthcare systems within the Division of Medical Informatics.

The role involves leading API/MDI integrations with Oracle Health Millennium, overseeing Cerner Lab/EHR system updates, and developing reports and visualizations to inform stakeholders on clinical and behavioral health outcomes.

Qualifications

Seven years of experience in data visualization and statistical models and data mining tools.
An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of general experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years.
A master’s degree may substitute for one year; a Ph.D. may substitute for two years.

Responsibilities

Support Cerner Lab/EHR systems by resolving tickets, applying system updates, and investigating failures.
Oversee system upgrades for Cerner Lab/EHR environments.
Assist with coordination of interfaces with outside labs and their data flows.
Lead API, MDI, and middleware configurations for Oracle Health Millennium integrations.
Assist with reports and visualizations, organizing and formatting data, and summarizing findings for stakeholders.
Collect and integrate clinical and behavioral health data from EHRs, patient surveys, and behavioral health tools.
Use data extraction tools including cleaning, transforming, and ensuring data quality and integrity.
Coordinate USCDI Data Sets implementation across OMH’s application portfolio.
Perform data quality checks, audits, and implement improvements for data accuracy and integrity.
Integrate data from multiple sources to produce a unified view and maintain data compatibility.
Analyze data to evaluate interventions, treatment plans, and program outcomes, identifying improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and share insights.
Work with clinicians and behavioral health specialists to support data-related questions in multidisciplinary settings.
Document data analysis processes and findings for reproducibility.
