Job summary

New York State Office of Mental Health in Albany seeks a Data Analyst 2 to conduct data analysis, cleaning, transformation, modeling, and visualization under supervision. You will support Cerner Lab/EHR systems, lead API and middleware configurations, and help generate reports for stakeholders.

The role involves integrating clinical and behavioral health data from multiple sources, coordinating USCDI datasets, and ensuring data quality.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
• An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of general experience; a bachelor’s may substitute for four years.
• A master’s degree may substitute for one year; a Ph.D. may substitute for two years.

Responsibilities

• Support Cerner Lab/EHR systems by resolving tickets, updates, failures, and overseeing system upgrades.
• Lead API, MDI, and middleware configurations for Oracle Health Millennium integrations.
• Assist in generating reports and visualizations to present data analysis findings.
• Collect and integrate clinical and behavioral health data from EHRs, surveys, and assessment tools; ensure data quality.
• Assist in coordinating USCDI Data Sets across OMH’s portfolio.
• Perform data quality checks, audits, and implement quality improvements.
• Integrate data from different sources to create a unified view of the data.
• Analyze clinical and behavioral health data to evaluate interventions and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders to understand data needs and share insights.
• Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings for reproducibility.
