Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Data Analyst II to support clinical, operational, and strategic initiatives within Dell Medical School. You will conduct complex analyses, build predictive models, and develop dashboards to inform performance improvement and regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with clinical leaders, IT, finance, and quality teams; mentoring junior analysts and shaping data standards as part of enterprise data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a data-related field and at least three years of healthcare analytics experience.
• Master’s degree (preferred) and five+ years of healthcare data experience are a plus.
• Experience working with EHR, claims, or quality data is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Write robust Python or R code to analyze healthcare data and build models.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL and Python.
• Create advanced dashboards with interactive filters and drill-downs.
• Communicate findings to clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to data governance and standards.
• Collaborate across clinical, IT, finance, and quality teams on analytics projects.
