Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a skilled data analyst to join the Business Affairs team. The role focuses on collecting, validating, and analyzing operational data to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making across campus.

The position involves preparing dashboards, ad hoc reports, and performance metrics, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years experience; or 7 years combined education/experience.
• Experience collecting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting data to support operational decision-making.
• Knowledge of reporting methods, data management practices, and performance metrics.
• Experience with data extraction, analysis, and reporting from enterprise systems and databases.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collects, analyzes, and maintains operational and business data to support reporting, forecasting, trend analysis, and decision-making within Business Affairs.
• Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and variance analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
• Collaborates with Business Affairs departments and campus stakeholders to gather information, respond to data requests, and provide analytical support.
• Assists with the development, maintenance, and documentation of business processes, procedures, reports, and performance metrics.
• Evaluates processes, identifies opportunities for operational improvement, and supports implementation of reporting and workflow efficiencies.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals and institutional priorities.
