Job summary

Hart Medical Equipment is seeking a Customer Service Representative in West Bloomfield, MI. You will greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and help troubleshoot issues to ensure a smooth care experience.

Responsibilities include confirming insurance, reviewing physician orders, coordinating home equipment services with the dispatch team, and maintaining accurate patient records. A high school diploma or GED is required, with about 6 months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude during interactions.
• Engage in active listening, confirm information, and diffuse difficult customers as needed.
• Assist all internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Process equipment service requests and coordinate with Dispatch for prompt delivery after competency is reached.
• Acquire and retain product and service information to advise customers.
• Maintain showroom and inventory in orderly condition.
• Verify insurance coverage, medical necessity, and physician orders for services.
• Follow billing procedures and ensure paperwork is correct for processing.
