Job summary

Pavilion on Main Street is seeking a Director of Culinary Services to oversee the Dietary Department, ensuring high-quality meal service and adherence to nutritional guidelines. You will manage kitchen operations, plan menus, control inventory, and maintain food safety standards.

You will lead staffing, supervise dietary personnel, and collaborate with other departments to meet residents’ dietary needs. At Pavilion Healthcare, we provide compassionate, personalized care with a culture of respect

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts education preferred.
• At least one year of dietary aide/technician/registered dietitian experience preferred.
• At least three years of dietary managerial experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage department staff, schedule breaks, write performance reviews, and enforce policies.
• Handle direct reports' complaints and assist the Administrator in planning and directing the department.
• Review and develop plans of correction for dietary service deficiencies noted during surveys and provide written copies to the Administrator.
• Process diet changes and new diets from nursing services; participate in facility surveys.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain diet history and maintain records of preferences.
• Develop methods to determine quality and quantity of food served and ensure menus are filed per policy.
• Ensure dietary areas are clean, safe, and sanitary and that safety regulations are followed.
