Job summary

HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner) seeks a seasoned Healthcare Critical Power & Electrical Systems Engineering Lead to own electrical design for healthcare environments in Cincinnati, OH. This senior role combines hands-on design, project leadership, and client interaction to deliver critical power infrastructure for hospitals and facilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in healthcare electrical design, a PE license in Ohio or eligibility, and strong knowledge of NFPA 99, FGI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities.
• Ohio PE license or ability to obtain via comity.
• Strong knowledge of FGI Guidelines and NFPA 99.
• Experience with building electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
• Experience designing emergency power, generators, UPS, grounding, and other critical electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for healthcare facility and commercial building projects.
• Engineer building power distribution, lighting, motor feeders, starters, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Design critical healthcare electrical systems involving emergency power, generators, UPS, ground-fault protection, and lightning protection.
• Perform voltage-drop, short-circuit, arc-flash, and related electrical engineering analyses.
• Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, construction documents, and design deliverables.
• Apply applicable codes and guidelines (FGI, NFPA 99, NEC, etc.).
• Coordinate electrical design with architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, construction, and other disciplines.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Manage multiple engineering priorities, project milestones, and deadlines while maintaining design quality.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
• Visit active construction sites when required to support project delivery.
