Job summary

HireNow Staffing, acting as a direct placement partner, seeks a Healthcare Critical Power & Electrical Systems Engineering Lead in Cincinnati, OH. This senior role leads electrical design for healthcare facilities, covering normal and emergency power, lighting, and critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical engineering with healthcare facility design expertise, plus an Ohio PE or ability to obtain comity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Significant experience designing electrical systems specifically for healthcare facilities.
• PE license in Ohio or demonstrated ability to obtain Ohio registration through comity.
• Strong working knowledge of FGI Guidelines and NFPA 99.
• Demonstrated expertise with building electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
• Experience designing emergency power, generator, UPS, grounding, and other critical electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD or comparable engineering design platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, IBC, Life Safety Code requirements.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or managing engineering professionals.
• Strong project leadership and client relationship capabilities.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
• Permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for healthcare facility projects.
• Engineer power distribution, lighting, motor feeders, starters, and related infrastructure.
• Design critical healthcare electrical systems including emergency power, generators, and UPS.
• Perform voltage-drop, short-circuit, arc-flash analyses and related calculations.
• Produce engineering calculations, specs, reports, and construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Mentor engineers and designers, manage priorities and deadlines.
• Build client relationships and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, and business development.
• Visit active construction sites to support project delivery.
