Job summary

Medix™ is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator in Jericho, NY to oversee end-to-end onboarding and credentialing for Clinical Reviewers, supporting VHA-related work. The role requires strong attention to detail, customer service, and healthcare administration experience.

You will manage applications, maintain compliance with URAC and regulations, track expirations, and coordinate with internal and external teams to keep processes moving on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years administrative healthcare experience.
• Experience with credentialing or provider onboarding preferred.
• Experience with federal systems or PIV card access is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Application Management & Onboarding: prepare, submit, and track credentialing applications for Clinical Reviewers.
• Provider Support & Communication: provide high-touch support to providers via phone and email.
• Database Maintenance: manage provider records across multiple platforms, generate reports and ensure accuracy.
• Compliance & Auditing: maintain files per URAC and regulatory guidelines; participate in audits.
• Expiration Tracking: monitor credential expirations and facilitate renewals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate Credentialing Committee meetings and work with recruitment and onboarding teams.
