Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a skilled healthcare cost analytics professional to transform large datasets into clear, actionable insights about medical cost trends. You will craft executive-ready presentations and work with matrix partners to show the value of cost programs.

Responsibilities include extracting and analyzing data with SAS/SQL, identifying savings opportunities, projecting outcomes, and communicating results to business partners.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
• Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL, etc.). Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.
• Experience working with business partners to communicate outcomes and develop analytics approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic/tactical insights into emerging medical cost trends and prepare executive-ready presentations.
• Extract, summarize and analyze large datasets via SAS, SQL or similar tools.
• Provide opportunity assessments of strategic medical cost programs and project savings.
• Leverage analytics to drive cost insights and present findings to key partners.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop the full analytical story.
• Other duties as assigned.
