Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a healthcare analytics professional to translate large cost data into actionable insights. You will develop the value and outcomes of medical cost programs, identify opportunities, and present findings to executives.

You will leverage SAS, SQL, R, Python and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) to build dashboards and share concise, data-driven narratives across business partners, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in business, health, economics, math/actuarial sciences or related area.
• 5 years in medical economics, healthcare analytics, informatics or actuarial services in the health care payer sector.
• Strong coding and dashboarding skills: SAS/SQL, R, Tableau and BI tooling such as Power BI.
• Experience with healthcare industry trends, data privacy, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop medical cost analytics to assess program value and outcomes.
• Provide strategic insights into emerging medical cost trends and opportunities.
• Create dashboards and executive summaries for stakeholders using SAS, SQL, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
