Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced healthcare analytics professional to transform large datasets into actionable cost insights. You will develop medical cost analytics, track program outcomes, and provide strategic recommendations to business partners.

Strong coding in R/Python, SQL, and dashboard tools is required. You will collaborate with matrix partners, present concise analytics, and ensure data-driven decisions across programs in a dynamic, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related field.
• Master's degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related field.
• 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
• Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL). Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.
• Strong Technical Data Skills (SAS / SQL, R, Tableau, Excel).
• Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of emerging trends and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop medical cost analytics to support strategic insights and value of business solutions.
• Track program outcomes and provide insights into areas of focus and opportunities.
• Coordinate savings projections and post-implementation savings measurements.
• Present analytics and insights to business partners in clear, executive-level presentations.
