The role directs cost accounting operations, mentors analysts, and partners with leadership to deliver timely, actionable cost insights using SAS, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant experience as determined by the company
• 3 years in a leadership or management role
• 3 years of database development
• 3 years with cost accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to adapt to changing computer technologies
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, applications, and transactional systems

Responsibilities

• Lead management responsibilities including hiring decisions, coaching, and staff development.
• Establish guiding principles for cost accounting across network entities and define cost allocation methodologies.
• Direct cost analysts and oversee cost allocation processes for accurate patient care cost information.
• Utilize decision support tools (SAS, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx) to generate reports for leadership and decision-makers.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital leaders and clinical teams to produce timely cost and productivity metrics.
• Provide training to departments on cost data usage and reporting tools.
• Ensure data credibility through compliance with standards and timely reconciliation.
