Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to lead the cost accounting operations across the network. You will harness advanced analytics, including statistical modeling and data visualization, to support capital investments and payor negotiations.

You will guide cost analysts, standardize cost allocation, and translate clinical data into actionable financial insights for leadership and budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• 3 years of database development.
• 3 years with cost accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing computer technologies.
• Strong understanding of relational database structures & systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cost accounting operations across the network.
• Establish guiding principles for cost accounting across entities.
• Lead cost analysts in cost allocation rules and processes.
• Produce actionable cost information for fiscal planning.
• Support payor negotiations and capital decisions with analyses.
• Develop business cases for long-term operating strategies.
• Mentor and develop team members.
