Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital is seeking a cook to prepare, season and cook a wide variety of food items in line with menus and production sheets. You will collaborate with the production team to ensure portions and quality meet guidelines.

Under supervision, you will train staff, uphold HACCP/food safety policies, and operate kitchen equipment to produce standard recipes. This role requires 2+ years in healthcare food service or quantity cooking.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities following menus, recipes and production sheets.
• Communicate with production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes.
• Provide training and guidance to other employees performing related work.
