Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital in Virginia seeks a Cook II PRN to prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items according to menus and production sheets. Under general supervision, you will follow recipes and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen while working with production staff.

This role also involves training other employees and ensuring quality standards are met. Prior healthcare kitchen experience and quantity cooking are preferred, and you will operate in a fast-paced hospital setting

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• 2+ years of quantity cooking experience preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking Preferred
