Job summary

American Senior Communities seeks a full-time Cook for the day shift at Rosebud Village. You will follow menus to meet residents’ nutritional needs, prepare appealing meals, and lead kitchen staff while ensuring sanitation and safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities include assembling trays, managing supplies, and maintaining a clean work area. Prior healthcare experience and sanitation certification are preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred where required by agencies.
• Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food matching menus and resident nutritional needs.
• Cooks and prepares meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, tray assembly, cleaning, and storage duties.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food service work area during service.

Skills
