Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations in a healthcare setting and drive financial reporting excellence in a multi-entity environment.

The role focuses on standardising workflows, strengthening internal controls, and delivering data-driven insights to support strategic decision making. Hybrid work and significant interaction with executive leadership are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare accounting experience.
• Progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with cost accounting and complex allocation methodologies.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and provide actionable business insights.
• Proven success implementing process improvements and strengthening controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and document accounting procedures.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP adherence.
• Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff across multiple levels.
• Manage financial reporting and analysis for a large, multi-department organization.
• Oversee revenue recognition and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Analyze historical financial data to identify trends and insights.
• Support cost accounting, allocations, and profitability analysis.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to improve reporting capabilities.
