Home and Health Care Management in Chico, CA, seeks an accomplished Controller to oversee daily financial operations, GAAP compliance, and internal controls. You will manage the general ledger, tax compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting, partnering with HR on benefits and coordinating with the agency CPA for corporate taxes.

The role leads accounting staff, ensures accurate state and federal filings, and supports executive decision-making with critical financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience; auditing background beneficial.
• Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulations.
• Manage general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and inventory accounting.
• Coordinate tax compliance and budgeting; provide financial insights to exec team.
• Lead internal audits; implement audit recommendations and controls.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies.
