Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead small to medium projects from planning to closeout. You will act as the owner’s advocate, ensure plans meet technical standards, manage schedules, control budgets, and supervise contractors while coordinating with user departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining project logs, handling change orders and RFIs, and upholding environment of care compliance.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in project management supervision and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to manage construction projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Proficient in Word processing and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction management for small/medium projects.
• Review plans for technical completeness and develop/approve schedules.
• Monitor environment of care compliance and construction effectiveness.
• Assist with budget oversight and contingency management.
• Draft project communications with contractors, design team and users.
• Maintain project logs (RFI, change orders, bulletins) and documentation.
• Foster teamwork and a customer-focused approach to project management.
