Job summary

UT Health Sciences seeks a Project Manager to oversee design, construction, and renovation projects at the University campus, reporting to the Director of Architecture and Planning. Responsibilities include coordinating with consulting engineers, developing construction drawings, and administering contracts.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of project/construction management experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Transcript required).
• Four (4) years of project management or construction management experience; valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture; experience with construction documents, cost estimates, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Performs programming, space planning, and coordinates with managers/requests.
• Performs architectural design development under supervision.
• Estimates construction costs and develops construction documents/specifications.
• Consults with consulting engineers for project requirements/design.
• Creates and maintains project schedules.
• Observes Facilities Administration construction projects on campus.
• Communicates meeting content and inspections with the Director.
• Includes handling changes and correcting issues to prevent recurrence.
• Performs construction contract administration.
• Reviews drawings/specifications and cost estimates.
• Prepares preliminary and final construction drawings/specifications.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
