Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, partnering with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

This role focuses on medical office buildings and ambulatory surgery centers, requiring experience in active healthcare facilities, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 4+ years of construction management and/or engineering design experience
• Experience delivering healthcare construction projects preferred
• Proficiency using Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout
• Develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget with clients and design team
• Review scope, cost-saving ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees with clients
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades
• Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment directly when advantageous
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work, project schedule, and site logistics
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors
• Lead weekly on-site meetings to address progress and challenges with the client
• Track budget performance, owner pay apps, cost status and progress billing
• Maintain safety and quality while keeping the project enjoyable for stakeholders
