Qualifications

• Requires claims, billing, research, and collections experience.
• Requires experience navigating an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Requires excellent customer service, communication, listening and time management skills.
• Requires the ability to function with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Working knowledge of billing software is preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

Responsibilities

• Contacts insurance companies to resolve outstanding claims.
• Communicates with patients regarding accounts.
• Generates patient statements and posts payments from all sources.
• Coordinates and executes in-bound collections.
• Works with collection agency to transfer accounts and keep updated.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
