Job summary

Business Center 1 seeks an experienced HIM supervisor to oversee outpatient and inpatient coders, educators, and denial clerks. You will ensure adherence to ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, DRG, APC, and ASC standards and oversee quality reviews for compliance with federal and state rules.

Responsibilities include developing policies, improving workflows, and assisting with annual budget planning while promoting compliant, efficient coding practices across the facility.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership of coding staff across outpatient and inpatient services.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10CM, PCS, CPT, DRG, APC, ASC classification systems.
• Experience ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises the coding staff including Outpatient and Inpatient Coders, Educators, and denials clerks.
• Maintains expert knowledge of coding systems and clinical information requirements for accreditation and licensing.
• Develops and implements HIM policies and procedures under the HIM Executive Director.
• Plans improvements in work processes and personnel functions and assists with budget requests.
