Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Environmental Services Attendant to clean and service various areas within a hospital, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. The role requires the ability to read, write and speak English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks.

Preferred candidates may have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with cleaning equipment. Flexibility with scheduling and strong teamwork are valued in this important support role.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication in English.
• Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions in English.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule as needed.
• Ability to listen and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Keeps Environmental closet and equipment clean, aseptic and orderly.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
• Performs special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission / CMS Environment of Care and Cleaning regulations.
