Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an Environmental Services worker to clean and service guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas, maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. The role requires reading, writing and speaking English to follow daily instructions and tasks.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience operating environmental services equipment. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and contribute to special cleaning projects

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to follow instructions and daily tasks.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and equipment/supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar (where necessary).
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows all Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
