Job summary

Ochsner Health Lafayette seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain clean, aseptic environments across guest, patient, and administrative areas. You will perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and support room turnover while following Joint Commission and CMS standards.

Ideal candidates read/write English, have a high school diploma (preferred), and possess experience operating cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• English reading, writing and speaking to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work flexible schedule when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar (where necessary).
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows current Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
