Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking diligent Environmental Services staff to maintain clean, aseptic areas within our health system. The role emphasizes adherence to infection control, safety protocols and quality standards while supporting patient care environments.

You will work with a team to perform routine cleaning tasks, stock supplies, and assist with special projects. A high school diploma and basic English proficiency are required, with flexibility to accommodate staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
• Ability to listen and take direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission/CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
