Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide to maintain clean and aseptic areas across patient, guest, public, clinical and administrative spaces. You will operate standard cleaning equipment and follow regulatory standards to ensure a safe environment.

The role requires the ability to read, write, and speak English to follow daily instructions, with preferred high school diploma or equivalent and up to 1 year of relevant experience in cleaning environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning in a healthcare or similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules or shifts.
• Ability to listen and take direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission / CMS regulations regarding Environment of Care and Cleaning.
