Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Chef Manager at a 112-bed behavioral health hospital. You will oversee all kitchen operations and patient meal services while leading a team of 3-4 hourly associates.

This role focuses on food quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, with opportunities to partner with hospital leadership to enhance patient dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of culinary or food service management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
• Experience managing purchasing, inventory, food cost controls, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Provide full culinary and food service management for the hospital dining operation, including patient meal services and daily kitchen operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-4 associates to ensure exceptional service, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, ordering, receiving, and cost controls to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Partner with hospital leadership to enhance the patient dining experience and support patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Oversee menu execution, production planning, and quality assurance while maintaining high standards for presentation and nutrition.
• Monitor labor and food costs, productivity, and budget performance.
