Job summary

Triangle Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the hospital's financial operations, including revenue cycle, accounting, reporting and budgeting. You will partner with the CEO and corporate office to safeguard assets and drive financial performance.

The role emphasizes internal controls, monthly close, audits and strategic planning to support high quality patient care and strong cash position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field required.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience in healthcare financial operations/controls required.
• Payroll experience required.
• Knowledge of inpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital finance preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the activities of the business office staff (billing, collections, financial counseling, utilization review and data processing).
• Maintain revenue cycle processes to keep AR at an acceptable level and improve cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Lead monthly close and distribute financial statements and productivity reports.
• Develop action plans with CEO to achieve EBITDAR targets.
• Maintain AR levels appropriate for market and payer mix.
• Ensure reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and robust internal controls.
• Lead hospital-wide financial oversight including payroll, purchasing, and other departments as needed.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets and support annual audits.
