Job summary

Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial health and strategic direction of the facility. The CFO oversees budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle management, and cost control to support high-quality patient care and sustainability.

The role partners with the Administrator and department heads to drive sound financial decisions, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, incl. 2+ years in healthcare/behavioral health.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement (Medicare/Medicaid) and revenue cycle.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements timely and accurately.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and correct variances.
• Prepare corporate reports (Monthly Operating Report, forecasts) timely.
• Direct Revenue Cycle operations to optimize cash collections and minimize uncompensated care.
• Oversee Front End Revenue Cycle processes, including insurance verification and upfront collections.
