Job summary

CHRISTUS Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization’s strategic direction and daily operations. You will guide clinical excellence, financial performance and market development in collaboration with the Board of Managers.

The role requires navigating regulatory requirements, maintaining accreditation standards, and building a high‑performing leadership team while overseeing contracts and partner relationships to drive community health outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare management leadership experience, preferably as hospital/healthcare facility CEO/COO
• Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; degree in Business, Healthcare Operations/Management or clinical discipline preferred
• Experience with Med-Surg hospitals and systems (for profit and non-profit) is a plus
• Passion for superior clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and strong partner relationships

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership within the organization, including guidance, direction and authorization to meet clinical and financial goals
• Design and implement a strategic plan focusing on clinical excellence, financial performance and market development
• Create and maintain operational controls, reporting procedures and systems to meet strategic goals
• Oversee financial structure, analyze operating results and take corrective actions as needed
• Motivate and lead a high-performance management team and recruit needed physicians and leaders
• Manage contracts with practitioners and service providers and ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards
• Ensure activities comply with regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards, CARF and rehab accreditation standards
