Job summary

The Capacity Management Analyst at UCLA Health will provide analysis, guidance and support for provider templates and utilization reports to optimize patient access and scheduling workflows.

You will review provider utilization, contribute to templating design, and develop recommendations. Work closely with the Director to coordinate build guidelines and deliver professional reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, healthcare IT, business, or related field, and/or equivalent experience/training.
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience with knowledge of template design, construction, functionality, analysis, and capacity optimization.
• Proficient in EPIC (EMR).
• Familiarity with analytical tools and software, research methods, and techniques for monitoring and evaluating data and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues, identify problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple interrelated tasks.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex information or problems objectively and draw logical conclusions to make recommendations, as well as produce substantial reports to resolve conflicts.
• Proven ability to create professional presentations, reports, correspondence, and summaries in a well-organized format.
• Ability to think proactively and work independently.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, guidance and support for provider templates and utilization reports.
• Suggest templating, decision trees and scheduling workflows to review and interpret provider utilization; advise on impact to patient access.
• Coordinate build implementation guidelines with the Director of Capacity Management.
• Apply clinical concepts to medium/large projects of varying complexity.
• Produce comprehensive reports and presentations to support recommendations and decision-making.
