Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking staff to perform a wide range of food service tasks for patients and customers. You will prep, cook, plate, and deliver meals, assist with catering events, and handle cash transactions in the cafeteria.

Maintaining sanitary conditions and working across grill and salad areas are key duties. The role requires basic computer familiarity and 0–1 years of related experience, with high school completion or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Some High School is required.
• Serve Safe certificate is preferred.
• 0–1 year of related food service experience is required.
• Six months to one year of food service experience.
• Basic familiarity with computers and basic web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Plates/portions foods according to menu standards and quantities.
• Prepare salads, vegetables, fruits, sandwiches; finish baking of frozen items.
• Operate grill/pizza areas and cash register with accurate drawer.
• Plan and deliver catering; prepare stations and assist with setup/breakdown.
• Assemble patient meals via At Your Request Room Service Dining system and manage special trays.
