Qualifications

• 1–2 years' accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or payroll experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and mathematical concepts.
• Understanding healthcare reimbursement and billing principles (if handling AR).
• Ability to use a 10-key calculator by touch.
• Ability to prepare financial records neatly and confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of all AR/AP/payroll functions and related policies.
• Process billing for private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, Co-insurance, Hospice, VA and private insurance.
• Participate in month-end close: reconciling census, posting revenue, and cash balancing.
• Process payroll per schedule and ensure timely paychecks.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data and follow company procedures.
