Qualifications

• Education: Associat es Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
• Experience: Two years of healthcare reimbursement and third-party billing experience.
• Knowledge: HIPAA regulations and accurate understanding of EOBs and recoupments.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the billing system and ensure claims are submitted accurately and on time.
• Review billing forms (UBs/1500s) for completeness and correctness before submission.
• Manage claim follow-up, including appeals and adjustment requests.
• Document patient accounts appropriately.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and next steps.
• Assist patients or responsible parties with billing and financial responsibility questions.
• Accept patient payments when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
