Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with billing concerns; receive and post patient payments; identify overpayments and process refunds; apply discount corrections; perform third party collection procedures; screen financial assistance paperwork.
• Maintain Medicare bad debt logs; maintain bankruptcy files and post adjustments; review deceased accounts for balance adjustments; review address issues and update patient information; manage self-pay and pre-pay worklists and reports.
• Serve as a backup for maintaining clinic petty cash and reimburse staff; report any out of balances.
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings to discuss ongoing issues; attend webinars and training; troubleshoot errors related to self-pay workflows; participate in projects as assigned.
