Insight Health Systems is looking for a full-time Patient Financial Services Representative in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial in supporting hospital revenue cycle operations, assisting patients with billing inquiries, and ensuring access to financial assistance programs. Ideal candidates should have strong customer service skills and knowledge of hospital billing processes.

In addition to processing billing, the representative will verify insurance coverage, assist patients with financial counseling, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Candidates preferably have an associate or bachelor’s degree and experience in hospital financial services.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in hospital patient financial services, billing, or revenue cycle operations.
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient hospital billing preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicaid eligibility and hospital-based financial assistance programs.

Responsabilités

• Process inpatient and outpatient hospital billing, including claim submission and follow-up.
• Assist with Medicaid enrollment, applications, and redeterminations.
• Respond to patient and guarantor inquiries regarding hospital bills and insurance claims.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and federal/state regulations.

Connaissances

Knowledge of hospital billing systems and electronic health records (EHR)

Strong understanding of insurance processes, including Medicaid and Medicare

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent
