Job summary

Amazon One Medical in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Centralized Support Specialist II Billing Specialist to support patient billing inquiries and insurance coordination within our CI CARE framework.

You will handle inbound calls, review accounts, explain benefits and charges, work with providers and admin teams, and help patients navigate payments and billing questions while upholding HIPAA and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service in a healthcare call center environment.
• 1+ years of medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient phone calls and message inquiries, de-escalate issues, ensure patient satisfaction, and assist with navigating healthcare needs including insurance and billing.
• Collaborate with providers and operations to resolve urgent patient billing issues.
• Proactively contact patients with open balances to discuss payment options and educate on insurance benefits.
• Assist admins with billing needs using internal tasking systems to provide strong customer service.
• Investigate claims to ensure processing aligns with patient benefit plans and balances.
