Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or 5 years of insurance related experience required.
• 1–2 years of reimbursement experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Proficient with medical terminology and clinical considerations as they relate to transplant cases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage billing and collection for all payor types.
• Notify physician offices of contract periods and monitor accounts; rebill claims as needed.
• Research insurance benefits and patient financial needs and discuss with patients and families.
• Develop financial plans with patients and families.
• Assist patients to plan and overcome out-of-pocket exposure.
