Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Billing/Coding Clerk to support our accounts receivable processes and patient billing efforts. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, payment posting from mail/lock box, and timely follow-up on all outstanding balances to ensure cash flow.

You will work with billing software, verify insurance benefits, and obtain prior authorizations when required, while maintaining patient confidentiality and PCI compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Enter charges into billing software and generate bills.
• Post insurance and patient payments; prepare bank deposits.
• Follow up on accounts until zero balance or turnover for collections.
• Review EOBs, process denials, and rebill as needed.
• Coordinate with insurance for authorizations and patient estimates.
