Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility) in Desoto County, Mississippi, seeks a Biller/Collector to manage daily billing operations, bill UB04 claims, and follow up on reimbursements for Parkwood Hospital.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Bachelor's in Accounting preferred, and at least 3 years in accounting/collections, with hospital billing experience preferred. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's in Accounting preferred.
• Three or more years of general accounting/collection experience, healthcare setting preferred.
• Hospital medical billing experience required.
• Knowledge of collections, hospital insurance billing, general accounting and working with computer systems is required.

Responsibilities

• The Biller/Collector is responsible for the daily operations of the collection department.
• Bill UB04 claims to insurance companies.
• Follow-up on claims billed to the insurance.
• Back-up for payment posting, deposit preparation and insurance verification.
• The Collector functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System.
